The Artist’s Union of Armenia(AUA) was founded by People's Artist of the USSR, sculptor,
founder- president Ara Sargsyan in November 10, 1932. AUA’s main goal is: supporting painters, sculptors and art critics, promoting members professionalism, expanding their international relations, popularization of art works, runing exhibitions, organization of different art activities. AUA organizes group exhibitions, one-man shows, national and international art festivals, art fairs, publishes art catalogs. AUA are hold art lectures, muster classes, meetings with famous cultural figures, and other related events. In 2018, at the 19-th congress the role of president of the Artist’s union of Armenia took artist Suren Safaryan.
