Ara Hakobyan (Born 1973)
Art historian and painter, Ara Hakobyan graduated from State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia in 1995, and then continued education in Venice Academy of Fine Arts: Member of Artists’ Union of Armenia since 1999.
Ara Hakobyan’s paintings shine with rich and vibrant colors, applied in manner or Impressionists and Fauvists. The subtle game of light and color unravels the unmatched beauty of Armenian nature. His free and sweeping brushstrokes breathe life into the canvas – one can hear the waves, feel the wind shaking the tree leaves and unite with this nature, which seems almost real.
