The Boy
bronze, 22x11x11cm
Ashot Gevorgyan (Born 1987)
Graduated from the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia in 2015. Winner of The President’s Youth Prize (2012).
Most of Ashot Gevorgyan’s sculptures are small-scale. He strives to create monumental volumes through the ratio of the scale of the compositional components. By finding life’s diversity in oppositions, Ashot strives for the completion of the entirety and the fantasy. In the very heart of is art is the human being with its complicated at the same time seducing relationship with nature. In his sculptures, the concept of the composition and the particularity of the material adjusts and complements each other.
