Getik Baghdasaryan (Born 1949)
Getik Baghdasaryan’s work is displayed in National Gallery of Armenia, State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, in Ivanovo Gallery, Russia and many other cities. Getik Baghdasaryan’s monumental and indoor work is combining various natural materials with metal and reflects artist’s search for aesthetic form in nature. Baghdasaryan’s work pays major tribute to ancient sculpture from prehistoric to Greek periods; however, artist’s main interest is creative sincerity, which he achieves by using both traditional and modernist styles. His art is full of deep emotional and philosophical observations.
